This is a journey following women through the city of San Francisco. It is easy to make this city your home with only 7 by 7 miles to eat, drink, and play in. The city is remarkable in that sense and you are always bound to make a new neighbor when crossing paths. This is a space to create, share and comment on the lives and experiences of the women in San Francisco.

Save Me San Francisco
On one of the warmest days the city has experienced all summer (finally), I have been inspired to create a space to share my journey and experiences in San Francisco. After recently graduating with a degree in Marketing from SFSU, I have found myself with a bit of extra time on my hands where I actually feel like I am human again. Life has slowed down for the moment and allowed me to take in my surroundings, opening up my eyes to the true beauty of San Francisco. I have always loved the idea of living the city life and now that I have been for the past few years, I am truly appreciative towards this city and all the gems it has to offer. No city like it exists- it is a place where hundreds of cultures have come to settle and establish a place where we can all coexist. Every neighborhood is unique and composed of authentic, genuine experiences that can only be found in San Francisco. Traveling the city in one day is like teleporting yourself to different areas of the world allowing you to take in the diverse connections this city has formed. For locals, it has become a place that will always be called home. Even though I grew up an hour south of the city, when asked where I am from, instinctuly I reply, "San Francisco". This city has a strange way of capturing your heart even after just one visit. Upon return, an instant sense of being welcomed overcomes you making you question why you ever left in the first place. When I am on holiday, I cannot help but notice that pull the city has on me to return. I was once visiting the sunny beaches of Miami and on my last day there, I ran into some locals who asked where I would be returning to. When I replied, "San Francisco", they scoffed and told me they did not feel bad for me at all. San Francisco is a rarity romanticised in a foreigners mind. It is a city that represents so much of what every human yearns for- acceptance free of inhibitions. It is the epicenter of activism and equality setting a standard for the rest of society to follow. San Francisco is a city where you can come and take off your labels and let all your guards down. Believe me, no one is going to judge you any more than they judge the barefoot hippies on Haight or the man standing on a box in the middle of Union Square covered in silver paint. These characters you encounter make this city worth living in. It is impossible to be bored because at least once a day you are guarenteed to have a moment that takes your breath away and reminds you how lucky you are to live in a city that accepts the old, the new, the black, the white, the liberal, the conventional and everything in between. Today was my moment, I guess when it is sunny in the city, anything seems possible. Here is to an epic beginning of dicovery and connections.
